The Zeal Thermal wetsuit is a step up from the Vitalis Thermal. It offers the highest level of thermal comfort in the Orca range. It features technologies for maximum heat retention, such as the Thermal X2 inner lining and the "Batwing" second layer, an additional layer of neoprene on the back that acts as a thermal barrier, reducing contact between cold water and the skin.

The extra-thick panels offer a high degree of buoyancy without compromising flexibility, thanks to the use of Yamamoto 40+ technology which guarantees maximum elasticity, ensuring total freedom of movement in cold water.

Enjoy the convenience of the mesh backpack and knitted gloves, included with your Zeal Thermal purchase. These accessories allow you to store, transport, and apply neoprene without damaging the material.

Characteristics:

  • Superior comfort
This is the most thermally insulating wetsuit in the Orca range, with panels up to 5mm thick, plus a Thermal X2 lining and a Batwing hood. The close-fitting neck and limb areas and the Batwing closure add an extra layer of neoprene on the back that acts as a thermal barrier, reducing contact between cold water and the skin.

  • Maximum elasticity
The combination of technologies aimed at maximum stretch, such as Yamamoto 40X+, allows excellent freedom of movement in cold water despite the thickness of this wetsuit. The elasticity of the Thermal X coating gives the 5 mm panels the same elastic properties as thinner conventional panels.

  • High and Neutral Buoyancy
The extra-thick panels on the torso provide a high level of buoyancy, for peace of mind in open water. Furthermore, the combination of materials ensures the suit has neutral buoyancy.

  • Comfort
The close-fitting fit and comfortable Thermal X and Thermal X2 inner fabrics make this one of the most comfortable wetsuits in the Orca range.

Technologies:

  • Yamamoto40+ : The combination of technologies aimed at maximum stretch, such as the Yamamoto 40X+, allows excellent freedom of movement in cold water despite the thickness of this wetsuit. The elasticity of the Thermal X lining gives the 5 mm panels the same elastic properties as thinner conventional panels.
  • Yamamoto 39X2 : In the torso, Yamamoto 39 technology, which can reach a thickness of up to 5 mm, provides maximum thermal comfort where it is most needed, without affecting the swimmer's position or restricting movement. This material offers 95% more comfort than not wearing a wetsuit. This high-performance Thermal X lining retains heat more efficiently than other conventional lining fabrics. It is also soft and pleasant to the touch, very comfortable when swimming in open water.
  • USC: The laser cut neck area combined with the Hydrolite lining allows the suit to fit snugly and prevent chafing. This combination and the seal prevent water from seeping into the suit, improving both thermal comfort and hydrodynamics for the swimmer.
  • Batwing : To prevent heat loss at the back through the zipper, this model features a batwing, a construction consisting of a second layer of neoprene. This layer prevents water from seeping through the zipper and coming into direct contact with the body, maintaining a warm layer of water inside. It also ensures a very snug fit around the neck, reducing friction and water entry into the suit from the neck area.
